The Eid al-Adha events at Katara and Lusail Boulevard drew thousands

With breathtaking fireworks at both locations, the Eid al-Adha events at Katara-The Cultural Village and Lusail Boulevard drew thousands of people of all ages, at both locations. Katara provided a variety of activities for its guests, with the major draw being the fireworks. Fireworks illuminated the sky over Katara at 8.30 p.m. on Thursday.

Children received presents as part of the festivities, which were delivered every day on Katara's Corniche between 6.45 pm and 7.30 pm till the third day of Eid. In partnership with the Ministry of Endowment and Islamic Affairs, the Arab Postal Stamp Museum at Building 22 displayed an exhibition of Islamic stamps relating to Haj, as well as a documentary film about Makkah utilising VR technology. The display will be accessible to the public from 4.30 pm to 8 pm till the third day of Eid.

Katara also offered films, drama, and music. The play 'Intellect is a Blessing,' created and directed by artist Hanan Sadiq, was performed in Al Hekma Square. The play's lyrics, also created by Hanan Sadiq, underline the significance of using one's intelligence and not giving up when faced with problems and challenges in life. The activity also instills in youngsters qualities such as cooperation, perseverance, and optimistic thinking. A series of musical events are being held at the Katara Oud Centre.

Three films will be shown Thursday at the Al Thuraya Dome Planetarium in Building 47. The first picture, 'Space Oasis,' will be shown at 5 p.m., followed by 'Guardians of Zula,' at 6 p.m., and 'Ghost of the Universe,' at 7 p.m.

As part of the Eid al-Adha celebrations, Katara also hosted a number of competitions. The 'Questions and Answers' competition, conducted three days a week between 6.30 pm and 8 pm at Al Hekma Square, is one of them. This tournament is aimed at youngsters, and cash rewards are given out right away.

Another tournament, 'Eid Takbeer in Katara,' is open to kids aged 10 and above. Participants must capture recordings of the Takbeerat (Eid chanting) in Katara, with clear facial features, high-quality audio and video, and a maximum duration of one and a half minutes. Entries should be forwarded to 66894698 through WhatsApp.

A 'Best Eid Outfit' competition, available to boys and girls up to the age of 15, is also held during the three days of Eid.
